Kim Keun (1973).

Remarks on non-linear noise excitability of some stochastic heat equations

We consider nonlinear parabolic SPDEs of the form tu=Δu+λσ(u)w˙\partial_t u=\Delta u + \lambda \sigma(u)\dot w on the interval (0,L)(0, L), where w˙\dot w denotes space-time white noise, σ\sigma is Lipschitz continuous. Under Dirichlet boundary conditions and a linear growth condition on σ\sigma, we show that the expected L2L^2-energy is of order exp[const×λ4]\exp[\text{const}\times\lambda^4] as λ\lambda\rightarrow \infty. This significantly improves a recent result of Khoshnevisan and Kim. Our method is very different from theirs and it allows us to arrive at the same conclusion for the same equation but with Neumann boundary condition. This improves over another result of Khoshnevisan and Kim

This research discusses the United States response to North Koreas missile test and Kim Jong Un as a commander. Since the end of the Korean War, North Korea has been trying to develop nuclear weapons and missile test. Various negotiations have been conducted to prevent the development, but these efforts never succeeded. Kim Jong Un as a new commander of North Korea has contin ued the countrys nuclear testing. This research will explain how the Unites States respond to the North Koreas nuclear development, what kind negotiations are being done, and how North Koreas nuclear weapons influences the United States and South Korea security situation.Perspective that used in this research is Realism perspective. The theory used in this research is the offense-defense by Stevan van Evera. The theory used as a framework for analyzing the factors and cause the North Korean nuclear development and its consequences for United States security situation.Key words: United States, respond, Kim Jong Un, North Korea, missile tes

Straightening out the concept of direct and indirect input requirements

Gim & Kim (1998) proposed a generalization of Jeong (1982, 1984) reinterpretation of the Hawkins-Simon condition for macroeconomic stability to off-diagonal matrix elements. This generalization is conceptually relevant for it offers a complementary view of interindustry linkages beyond final or net output influence. The extension is completely similar to the 'total flow' idea introduced by Szyrmer (1992) or the 'output-to-output' multiplier of Miller & Blair (2009). However the practical implementation of Gim & Kim is actually faulty since it confuses the appropriate order of output normalization. We provide a new and elementary solution for the correct formalization using standard interindustry accounting concepts.output multipliers, input multipliers, Leontief multipliers.

The article talk about the relationship between nature, architecture and landscape in the Kim Ki Duk’s movie Spring, summer, autumn, winter… and spring, (Korea, 2003). First, the adequacy of the cinema appears as external and critical insight on the disciplines of the environment transformation. Secondly, about the conception of space that raises the movie. And thirdly, these concepts are related to diverse contents, between the China landscape classic painting, the Taoist philosophy and the idea of emptiness.Peer Reviewe

Special issue on smart interactions in cyber-physical systems: Humans, agents, robots, machines, and sensors

    Get PDF
In recent years, there has been increasing interaction between humans and non‐human systems as we move further beyond the industrial age, the information age, and as we move into the fourth‐generation society. The ability to distinguish between human and non‐human capabilities has become more difficult to discern. Given this, it is common that cyber‐physical systems (CPSs) are rapidly integrated with human functionality, and humans have become increasingly dependent on CPSs to perform their daily routines. The constant indicators of a future where human and non‐human CPSs relationships consistently interact and where they allow each other to navigate through a set of non‐trivial goals is an interesting and rich area of research, discovery, and practical work area. The evidence of con- vergence has rapidly gained clarity, demonstrating that we can use complex combinations of sensors, artificial intelli- gence, and data to augment human life and knowledge. To expand the knowledge in this area, we should explain how to model, design, validate, implement, and experiment with these complex systems of interaction, communication, and networking, which will be developed and explored in this special issue. This special issue will include ideas of the future that are relevant for understanding, discerning, and developing the relationship between humans and non‐ human CPSs as well as the practical nature of systems that facilitate the integration between humans, agents, robots, machines, and sensors (HARMS).Fil: Kim, Donghan.
